"Spud" Dudley Ericson

Meet “Spud” (Dudley) Ericson, who served as a UWAYSCC campaign chair in 1977

He received a BA in Production Management from Michigan State University in 1957, and then served in the United States Air Force as a captain with the 5th Bomb Wing. He was the Director of Human Resources at WCA Hospital for more than 30 years, and then served as the Interim Director of the American Red Cross. He then “retired” and spent the next six years working in marketing at the Chautauqua Institution as a summer employee. He has served as a volunteer for the American Red Cross, Jamestown Rotary Club, Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, several Chautauqua Lake organizations, the Jamestown Audubon Center, Roger Tory Peterson, and as a volunteer for First Baptist Church and First Presbyterian Church. He currently lives in Lakewood and cares for his wife Joani. They have been married for more than 60 years.
