Community Baby Shower

IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO RAISE A CHILD. IT TAKES A COMPASSIONATE COMMUNITY TO HELP NEW MOMS AND DADS PREPARE FOR MOTHERHOOD.

Despite the many changes that COVID has brought to our community, the needs of our youngest citizens remain.  For several years, the United Way of SCC has helped provide supplies and resources for Chautauqua County babies through the Community Baby Shower.  Area businesses, organizations, book clubs, schools etc have all come together in unique ways to gather donated baby items. Some do team building activities within their organizations, stores that sell baby items will provide items at the check out, schools have done collection activities as an educational way to engage their kids with learning and also give back to the community.  There are new fun virtual options as well.

SAVE THE DATE: We will be doing a one day, online only, monetary fundraiser with Give BIG CHQ June 10th, 2021 (stay connected for more information)

The donated items will be distributed to local agencies that work one-on-one with mothers to provide education and case management.
