Recognizing and Appreciating the Impact of United Way of Southern Chautauqua County

Brittany joined the Winifred Crawford Dibert Boys & Girls Club when she was 10 years old.  She was an active member throughout her school years and participated in many United Way supported Club programs including healthy lifestyles and workforce readiness programs. When Brittany was a senior in high school, she was selected as our Youth of the Year.  Throughout her days at the Club we could see her becoming more and more confident and responsible.  When she was 17, she was placed at the Club for a summer work program.  When this program ended, we were able to hire her as a part-time employee.  She started working in the locker room and then moved to program areas and eventually the office.  She has a great work ethic and she is very dependable.   Brittany has become a key person for data entry.

Since then, the Club has supported Brittany as she got engaged and married.  She also completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Information Management and has secured a full-time job in her field.  Brittany recognizes and appreciates the impact that the Club has had in her life and through United Way supported programs. Brittany has chosen to continue to work with the Club part-time and is happy to be able to be a United Way donor herself! We appreciate her willingness to continue to be a role model for our Club youth members. She is an asset to our Club and to our small community.
