IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO RAISE A CHILD. IT TAKES A COMPASSIONATE COMMUNITY TO HELP NEW MOMS PREPARE FOR MOTHERHOOD.
Despite the many changes that COVID has brought to our community, the needs of our youngest citizens remain. For several years, the United Way of SCC has helped provide supplies and resources for Chautauqua County babies through our Community Baby Shower. Beginning June 15th through July 15th, The United Ways of Southern and Northern Chautauqua County, in partnership with the Community Foundations, are hosting a month-long drive to collect monetary donations and new baby items that will be dispersed among local agencies who serve the infant population.
We are inviting all Chautauqua County residents to participate in this year’s Community Baby Shower either through a donation or by coordinating a baby product/equipment drive within your business, organization or social group. Donations can be mailed or dropped off at either United Way offices at 208 Pine Street in Jamestown or 626 Central Ave Dunkirk. For checks, please name “Baby Shower” in the memo. Several drop sites have been established throughout the county to make donating even easier! (Please see attached poster for locations)
Thank you in advance for your help in providing supplies and equipment for Chautauqua County babies. All questions can be directed to Nicole Drozdiel, Director of Community Impact for the United Way of SCC, at (716) 483-1561 or by emailing her at firstname.lastname@example.org
