VOLUNTEER

You may choose to volunteer because you feel compassion for others, want to "give back" to our community, or because you feel a connection with a certain program or with the other people involved. Whatever your reason, United Way can help you match your talents and interests with a volunteer opportunity that is meaningful for you.

Through volunteering you can:

  • Meet new people who share your interests
  • Learn new skills
  • Feel needed and valued
  • Make a difference in someone's life

Consider volunteering as a family or with friends or co-workers. You will strengthen your relationships and create special memories as a group at the same time you are helping others.

United Way of Southern Chautauqua County and 2-1-1 provide a Volunteer Opportunities booklet to guide local people towards volunteering.  To read or print the booklet, click here.
