United Way Launches Search Committee

United Way Launches Search Committee

The United Way of Southern Chautauqua County recently accepted the resignation of its Executive Director, Tory Irgang. Ms. Irgang will leave United Way later this year to serve as Executive Director for the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation.

“While Tory will be missed, the strength of our staff, coupled with our solid internal structure and policy, will provide an excellent platform upon which our next Executive Director will build,” said Christopher Colburn, President of the United Way Board of Directors.

The United Way is in the process of forming a Search Committee, chaired by Board member Tom Schmidt. The Search Committee will work quickly to develop a timeline for the process, beginning with the public posting of the position.

“We are confident that there will be a seamless transition of leadership at United Way,” added Dr. Colburn. “Tory will remain in place to launch the annual campaign and work with the newly hired Executive Director to gain an understanding of the day-to-day operations.”
