LEGACY GIVING

“I have seen Americans make great and real

sacrifices to the public welfare; and I have

noticed a hundred instances in which they

hardly ever failed to lend faithful support

to one another.”

From Democracy in America

by Alexis de Tocqueville

United Way of Southern Chautauqua County is very fortunate to have many philanthropic individuals who contribute annually to the United Way campaign.  An excellent way to assure that your giving continues into perpetuity is to endow your gift.  Legacy gifts, like the ideals which inspire them, will continue to strengthen our community for generations to come.

The United Way of Southern Chautauqua County offers you two endowment opportunities to support its mission of identifying the community’s critical human service needs and addressing those needs through efficient fundraising and effective allocation of resources to community programs.

By integrating a dynamic Endowment and Legacy Giving program into its traditional fundraising strategy, the United Way of Southern Chautauqua County is positioning itself to confront the pressing problems of today and to prepare to address the critical human needs of our future generations.

To learn more about giving options, please review our Legacy Giving brochure or contact United Way Executive Director Michael Moots.

Gifts to United Way are tax deductible.  The Internal Revenue System has published a booklet about documentation required to deduct your charitable contributions.  You can review or download the booklet here.
