United Way Funding - Allocations


We support agencies and programs that focus on building a stronger community for us all, particularly in our four focus areas of education, income, health. United Way remains a leader in tackling big, complex issues in the Southern Chautauqua region while bringing together community partners to help solve them.

  • 501c3 organizations in southern Chautauqua County are eligible to apply for up to $960,000 in United Way funding
  • Organizations seeking funding are encouraged to contact United Way staff before submitting an application to ensure their proposed programs meet funding guidelines
  • The Community Status Report can serve as a roadmap for organizations to align proposed programs with community needs
  • For examples of what United Way funded in 2013-14, please review the funding impact sheet
  • Completed applications are due February 5th and will be reviewed in March with final awards announced in late April.
  • United Way aims to change the direction of southern Chautauqua County by funding programs that elevate the individual and family, and to continue to operate community services such as 2-1-1 and VITA
  • Our focus is on Education, Income, and Health
